The three problems that arise due to construction of large dams are:1.(i)Social problem : Displacement of large number of peasants and tribals.(ii)Economic problem: These projects swallow up large amounts of public money without the generation of proportionate benefits.(iii) Environmental problem : As they contribute to deforestation and the loss of biodiversity.
