The audible frequency range for human ear is from 20Hz to 20000Hz , above frequency 20000Hz , sound waves are called ultrasonic and below 20Hz , they are infrasonic . So it is clear that sound waves having frequency higher than audio frequency range (20.000Hz) , are ultrasonic waves .
