The aspect of photosynthesis being tested in the diagram is the importance of Light in Photosynthesis. Solar radiations are the ultimate source of light for photosynthesis. Light between the wavelength of 400-700 nm is most effective for photosynthesis and this light is called Photosynthetically Active Radiation or PAR. Under low light intensity, the rate of photosynthesis is low. As the light intensity increases, the rate of photosynthesis increases but very strong intensity of light has an inhibiting effect on photosynthesis because it destroys the photosynthetic pigments.
