Question

What change, if any, would you expect in the characteristic of a musical sound when we increase its amplitude?

Solution
Verified by Toppr

The magnitude of the maximum disturbance in the medium on either side of the mean value is called the amplitude of the wave. The loudness or softness of a sound is determined by its amplitude.
If we increase the amplitude of a musical sound then the loudness will also increase.
