Burning of fossil fuels release O $_{2}$ , CO $_{2}$ and NO $_{2}$ gases that cause acid rain. They also release unburnt carbon particles and smoke
Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) released from refrigerators, air conditioners and aerosol sprays also cause air pollution.
Smoke from industries.

Harmful effects of air pollution:
It causes respiratory problems.
Allergies, cancer and heart diseases are caused.
Air pollution also causes acid rain.
