Causes of air pollution:
  • Burning of fossil fuels release O2, CO2 and NO2 gases that cause acid rain. They also release unburnt carbon particles and smoke
  • Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) released from refrigerators, air conditioners and aerosol sprays also cause air pollution.
  • Smoke from industries.

Harmful effects of air pollution:
  • It causes respiratory problems.
  • Allergies, cancer and heart diseases are caused.
  • Air pollution also causes acid rain.
