  2. lens which directs light away from point at the optical center or axis of the lens
  3. lens which directs light away from focal point at the optical center or axis of the lens
  4. lens which directs light to a point at the focal point or axis of the lens

A

B
lens which directs light to a point at the focal point or axis of the lens
C

Converging lens directs light to a point at the optical center or axis of the lens. A lens that converts parallel rays of light to convergentrays and produces a real image. As long as the object is outside of the focal point the image is real and inverted. When the object is inside the focal point the image becomes virtual and upright. A lens is a transmissive optical device that affects the focus of a light beam through refraction. In this case, the lens is called a positive or converging lens.
