Sustainable Management- It is controlling the use of resource in such a way as to provide for its equitable and continuous availability not only to the present generation but also for future generations without any harmful impact on the environment.
Environmentalists insist on sustainable natural resources management because of the following reasons:
I. Equitable Distribution. The resources would be made available to all sections of the society instead of a few rich persons.
2. Controlled Exploitation. The exploitation is restricted so as to meet the just demands of the society.
3. Minimum Wastage. Technology is employed to ensure minimum wastage during processing of the resource.
4. Disposal of Waste. The waste of the processing units is nut allowed to degrade the environment. Insteadproper safety measures are taken to convert the waste into useful product.
