What is meant by the terms: (i) Swadeshi (ii) Boycott?
Swadeshi is a Sanskrit word meaning 'swa'- 'self' and 'desh' - 'country'. Swadeshi, hence, means things that has been manufactured in one's own country, i.e., India.
Boycott is an act of refusal to buy, use or participate. It is a way of protesting. Here, Indians boycotted British goods in order to protest against the British rule.
