A group of tissues form an organ. Each organ has a particular function. When a group of organs come together to perform one or more functions, it is called an organ system. Digestive system is one of the examples for an organ system where, salivary glands, esophagus, stomach, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, intestine, rectum and anus together perform the function of digestion and processing of food.
