X (fibre) was a thread or filament from which Y (cloth) is made. If prepared from plants and animals, it is known as Z (natural fibre) fibres whereas by humans it is known as W ( synthetic or artificial) fibres. Synthetic fibres are nylon, rayon, polyester, acrylic etc.
