Precautions which must be taken while using electricity are as follows:

$\left(1\right)$ We must ensure that the positive and negative wires of the electric circuit are not accidentally connected. If this happens, there will be a short circuit.

$\left(2\right)$ All the wiring in the circuit should be done properly and tightly.

$\left(3\right)$ All the wires should be insulated. The insulating layer on the wires should not be broken.

$\left(4\right)$ Ensure that each electrical appliance must be connected with the earthing wire.

$\left(5\right)$ One should wear rubber gloves and rubber shoes while dealing with the AC mains.

$\left(6\right)$ Do not touch the switch, plug or socket with wet hands.
