Operation Safed Sagar was the codename assigned to the Indian Air Force's operations during the Kargil Conflict of 1999. It began on May 26, 1999 and concluded on July 11, 1999 after all military objectives were achieved. This was the first time in the history of military aviation that air power was used at a height of upto 32,000 feet by the Indian Air Force.
