The Great Barrier reef is the lagest coral Reef system in the world. It stretch for 1429 miles over an area of approx 133,000 square miles. The coral reef is located off the coast of Queensland, Australia in the coral sea. The reef is a marine protected area managed by Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority of Australia.
