Insects mainly belong to phylum Annelida. Some of the insects like the honey bee and white ants live in large colonies. They are called social insects. In the colony of these insects, all animals follow a particular social order with a clear-cut differentiation of the functions each type is expected to perform. For example, some animals will be workers and soldiers and few will be specialised for reproduction.
