The Brahmaputra basin spreads over countries of Tibet (China), Bhutan, India and Bangladesh having a total area of 5,80,000 Sq.km. The major rivers of bramhaputra basin are Tista River, Jaldhaka River, Manas River, Kopili River, Buridehing River, Dhansiri (S) River, Yamuna, Sankosh.
