Humayun was the second emperor of the Mughal Empire who ruled from 1530–1540 and again from 1555–1556. His sister Gulbadan Begum wrote the biography of Humayun named Humayun-Nama on the request of Akbar. It is the account of the life of her half-brother, Emperor Humayun, which she wrote on the request of her nephew, Emperor Akbar.
