Stanley temple, a university of Wisconsin ornithologist, hypothesised that the extinction of Raphus cucullatus has converted tambalacoque or calvaria tree (Sideroxylon grandeflorum) into an endagnered species and is near to the extinction. He proposed that dodo and Sideroxylon represent a mutalism in which the seeds of tree had to pass through the digestive system of dodo before they could germinate. He assumed that fruit of Sideroxylon with its thick and hardy endocarp, would mechanically prevent germination unless worn down by the dodoes digestive system.
Thus, the correct answer is option D.
