  2. Govindji
  3. Ruben and Kamen
  4. Calvin

A
R. Hill
B
Govindji
C
Ruben and Kamen
D
Calvin
Solution
Verified by Toppr

Robert Hill for the first time in 1939 showed that chloroplasts extracted from leaves of Stellaria media and Lamium album are suspended in a test tube containing suitable electron acceptors and potassium ferrocyanide, oxygen is released due to the photochemical splitting of water. During this condition, no carbon dioxide was consumed and no carbohydrate is formed but the light reduction of the electron acceptor eas accompanied, by the liberation of oxygen.
So the correct option is 'R. Hill'
