Shubhangi Swaroop became the first-ever female pilot to be admitted to the Indian Navy. She hails from Uttar Pradesh, along with her three other women cadets namely, Astha Sehgal, Roopa A and Sakhti Maya S, were also inducted. Shubhangi is the daughter of a Naval commander.
