Indira Gandhi was the first women Prime Minister of India who served for three consecutive terms. She succeeded Lal Bahadur Shastri as the PM. Indira Gandhi was the only child of Jawaharlal Nehru. She was the second longest serving Indian PM and was a central figure of Indian National Congress.
