Why Gir National Park is said as the last home of the Asiatic Lion?


Gir national park is situated in Talala Gir in Gujarat. It is spread over an area of 1,153 km2. It is a sole home of Asiatic lion. This is the reason why it is called as Last home of Asiatic lions.

26 pure Asiatic lions have been given to zoos in India and abroad for breeding.
