Why is displacement term used in Wien's displacement law?

According to Wien's displacement law $$\lambda m$$ moves toward the lower part of spectrum and when the temperature decreases, $$\lambda m$$ gets displaced toward the higher end of the spectrum . This is why it is called Wien's displacement law.
