Why is electrostatic potential constant throughout the volume of the conductor and has the same value (as inside) on its surface?
The reason is that the electric field inside the conductor is zero.
So, ΔV=0⇒V1−V2=0
or V1=V2, it means that the potential at every point is same inside the conductor.
