Question

Without using set-squares or protractor construct:
Triangle $$ABC$$, in which $$AB = 5.5$$ cm, $$BC = 3.2$$ cm and $$CA = 4.8$$ cm.

Solution
Verified by Toppr

Steps of construction
1. Construct $$BC = 3.2$$ cm long.
2. draw an arc taking $$B$$ as centre and $$radius=5.5cm$$
3. draw another arc taking $$C$$ as centre and $$radius=4.8cm$$ to cut the previous arc at $$A$$
4. Join $$AB$$ and $$AC$$
Hence, $$\triangle ABC$$ is the required triangle
