Interference of Light Waves
When two waves of same frequency coming from basically one light source and travelling in same direction superimpose each other. the intensities of light at different points of the medium are different. At some points of the medium, intensity is maximum and at some other points intensity is maximum ( about zero) This phenomeon is called the interference of light waves, the interference is called destructive interference
