Write a short note on Silver fir.
It is a large evergreen tree growing to 130–200 ft tall, and with a trunk diameter of up to 6 ft 7 in–8 ft. The tree is pyramidal in shape. It has a conical crown with level branches. The cones of the tree are cylindrical in shape. The shoots are greyish-pink to buff-brown, smooth and hairless. The leaves are needle-like. It is also known as Abies Pindrow or Pindrow fir. The flowering season for them is April-June.
