In India, sports have always had a primal importance. And I was brought up in a similar fashion. Being the fastest runner in my class, I was naturally selected to represent my school for the relay race competition. A relay race is when the members of a team take it in turns to complete the parts of a racecourse while passing on the baton to the next person to run. My best friend was the first person to run, a junior to us was the second person and I was the anchor being the third person to be tagged and run. As soon as our race started the whole school cheered for us. My parents and friends were there supporting us. My little sister had also made a poster which was cheering me on. As soon as the race started my heart was in my mouth. We had never won the relay race for our school in a long time and I really wanted to make our school proud. Nonetheless I had to wait until the baton was passed to me so that I could try my luck. As I received the baton, I ran so fast that I probably never did so in my life before. Within seconds I reached the finish line and we won! That was the best day of my life
