Three medical applications of X-rays are :
(1) : Projectional radiography is the practice of producing 2-D images using X-rays radiations. These are helpful in detection of some disease process in soft tissue.
(2) : The use of X-rays as a treatment, known as radiation therapy, is used for management of cancer.
(3) : CT scanning is a medical imaging modality where where tomography images of specific areas of body are obtained from a large series of 2-D X-ray images taken in different directions.
