Botanical gardens is the place of collection of living plants which are maintained for studies.
Role of botanical gardens are:

- They serve for the conservation of rare and endangered species.
- They attract a large number of visitors for observing plant diversity.
- They provide material for botanical research.
- They also serves for preservation of herbarium specimens.
