The AIIMS Entrance Exam 2018 for Undergraduate MBBS seats will be conducted on Sunday, 27th May, 2018 in two shifts at eighteen centers across India. It was a three and a half hour online MCQ-type (140 Questions) and Assertion-Reasoning type (60 Questions) exam consisting of questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (60 each) as well as General Knowledge (20 questions) with a (+1,-1/3) correction policy. Candidates had the option to choose English or Hindi as the medium of examination as per their convenience. AIIMS Answer Key 2018
The AIIMS answer key 2018 will be posted on the Exam website in the coming days. The result of AIIMS MBBS 2018 will be declared according to roll number and rank wise of candidates, and is expected on 12th June 2018.
This highly selective examination is conducted annually by the premiere All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi for admission to 672 MBBS seats in the seven AIIMS institutions located across India.
Cutoff Determination:
Percentiles corresponding to the following percentages
- General – 50%
- OBC-Non Creamy Layer – 45%
- SC/ST – 40%
In case the percentiles of both shifts are unequal, the lower percentile of both the shifts shall be the cutoff.
Tie-Resolution:
In the following order
- Percentile in Biology
- Percentile in Chemistry
- Percentile in Physics
- Seniority by Age
Reservation Policy:
- AIIMS, New Delhi: With intake of 72 students, the reservation policy followed will be 5 for ST candidates, 11 for SC candidates and 19 for OBC candidates, for Indian Nationals. 3% seat reservation for Orthopedic Physically Handicapped shall be provided on horizontal basis from the total seats available.
- AIIMS (Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur and Rishikesh) : With intake of 100 students each, the reservation policy followed will be 8 for ST candidates, 15 for SC candidates and 27 for OBC candidates, for Indian Nationals. 3% reservation for Orthopedic Physically Handicapped shall be provided on horizontal basis, in the total seats available.
- The numbers of seats for Foreign Nationals are pending notification by the Government of India.
