National Law University, Delhi (NLU) would be conducting the AILET 2019 in the first week of May in order to offer admissions into the undergraduate and postgraduate law programs.
AILET 2019 would also be held in offline mode. AILET would be organized in more than 21 cities of India.

AILET Cutoff 2019 – Expected
Once the results are declared, NLU Delhi would release the official cutoff for AILET 2019.
The Cutoff, simply put, is the minimum marks at which a candidate gets admitted into the undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes at eligible colleges. The university announces the cutoff of AILET 2019 separately for all the categories each year.

What is new in AILET 2019?
With the release of official notification for the exam, the following changes are introduced:
- AILET Application Fee – The fee has increased by INR 50/-. Now, the general category students have to pay INR 3050/- and SC/ ST candidates have to pay INR 1050/- to apply for the examination.
- For
LLB and LLM Program, 15% seats are now reserved for SC category, 7.5% for ST category and 5% for Persons with Disabilities.
AILET Exam Pattern of BA LLB
The exam consists of 150 questions. Each question carries one mark. Each incorrect entry and multiple answer entry is considered for negative marking. Negative marking of 0.25 is applicable.
AILET 2019 question paper will contain the following sections – English, General Knowledge, Legal Aptitude, Reasoning and Elementary Mathematics. Sectional distribution of questions is as follows:

AILET Exam Pattern for LLM
- LLM paper consists two sections- 100 Objective questions and one Essay question.
- The total marks for the exam is 150 – 100 marks for the objective section and 50 marks for the essay.
AILET Exam Pattern for Ph.D. Programs
- AILET exam for Ph. D programs consist of two papers- Paper 1 (Research Methodology) and Paper 2 (Research Proposal Specific Paper).
- Paper 1 contains 100 multiple choice questions.
- In paper 2, candidates have to submit a research proposal in 15 pages on the topic of their Ph.D. degree.

Eligibility Criteria for AILET 2019
For BA LLB (Hons): Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 System) or Equivalent Examination with 50% marks. The candidates appearing in the 12th standard examination in March/April 2018 can also apply.
Age Limit: Below 21 years as on 01st July 2018 (23 years in case of SC/ST candidates). Foreign Nationals are exempted from AILET. For the Foreign Nationals to be eligible, they need to have 65% marks in the qualifying exam.
Total Seats: 80 seats, 10 seats are kept aside for Foreign Nationals.
Reservation: 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST and 3% for Persons with Disabilities [One additional seat for Kashmiri Migrants; two supernumerary seats for students from J&K subject to the approval of Governing Council; the candidates have to appear in the AILET and fulfill the eligibility criteria as applicable.
For LLM (One year): LLB or an Equivalent Law Degree with 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/Persons with Disability); the candidates appearing in final LLB examination in April/May 2018 can also apply.
Total Seats: 45+5 seats for Foreign Nationals. Foreign Nationals are exempted from AILET (No. of seats may vary).
Reservation: 15% for SC candidates, 7.5% for ST candidates, 3% for Persons with Disabilities.
