BCECE Result

Conducted annually by Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE) Board, Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE) is a state level undergraduate engineering entrance exam.

It is conducted for admission to around 3000 seats in 8 government and 12 private engineering colleges/universities of Bihar.

While admissions to BTech and BArch programmes will be based on BCECE, admissions to MBBS will be based on NEET UG. BCECE is conducted in two phases/stages in the month of June. BCECE 2018 offline exam dates are announced.  In 2017, the exam was held on April 16 (Stage I) and May 14 (Stage II). BCECEB will declare BCECE 2018 results in July tentatively on the official website of the exam.

BCECE Results 2018

Results of BCECE will be declared by the board after the written test has been conducted successfully. The results will be available for Candidates only in the online mode which can be downloaded from the official website. The results provided by the board will have category-wise roll numbers of qualified candidates, along with their date & time of interview. The hard copy of BCECE result 2018 will not be sent to the candidates by post. Candidates must keep the downloaded result till the selection procedure.  The ranks of the candidates will be available later.

BCECE Result Date 2018

The written test is scheduled to be held on April 29, 2018. After successful completion of which, the result will be declared in the second/third week of July 2018. The counseling will be started in the last week of July 2018. The written result of BCECE (LE) will be declared in the first week of August 2018 and counselling will commence from the first week of September 2018.

Cut off

The cut off for the year 2018 has not been announced yet. But it generally follows the usual trend of previous year cut offs. The cut off list for the year 2017 for different categories was :

How to check the result?

In order to check the results of BCECE 2018, candidates need to go through the following steps:

Step 1: Visit the official BCECE website:

Step 2: Click on the flashing option which reads “BCECE 2018 Results”

Step 3: This step will redirect the students to the login page where the candidate is expected to enter details asked like application number and date of birth.

Step 4: The category wise ranks will now be displayed on the screen.

Step 5: Download and take a print out of the scorecard for admissions.

How will the rank be decided?

In case of ambiguity where two or more candidates secure the same scores in BCECE 2018, the following tie-breaking guidelines will be followed by the authorities as per the given order:

  • Firstly, if the scores of two candidates match, the individual marks of Mathematics will be considered. And the one with the higher score in Mathematics will be allotted a higher rank.
  • In case they have identical marks in Mathematics, the one with a higher Physics score will be ranked above.
  • If the candidates have secured same scores in Mathematics and Physics, then the candidate who is older in age will be given preference.
