The Birla Institute of Technology and Science, or BITS is a deemed university, which has a few colleges in India that are like old banyan trees. It is so ancient, so well-established, with such a great network, that every little would-be engineer birdie wants to flock on one of its sturdy branches. Some even believe that BITS is superior than the rest of engineering institutes when it comes to student life and the quality of education it provides. The Outlook Magazine named it No. 1 Engineering College of 2015 in India.

However, only a few qualify to get the BITS experience. You need to have passed the 12th grade with a 75% in Physics, Chemistry and Math/Biology (depending on what you opt for). And this is just the initial criteria to qualify.

Once you get qualified to apply, you need to appear for the Birla Institute of Technology and Science Aptitude Test or BITSAT Exam, which is one of the toughest entrance tests in the country. Around 2 lakh candidates are estimated to have taken the BITSAT 2016 entrance test for the very limited number of available seats. There’s good reason for BITS being such a highly sought-after Institute. The prestigious BITS campuses offer you a chance to learn with the best and brightest minds in the country. Today, in this article, we have put together a list of all the BITSAT colleges in India.

Established in 1964, BITS is a deemed university under section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. BITSAT was one of the first entrance exams in our country to introduce the computer-based exam method. Click here to know more about the BITSAT Exam Pattern.
