Counselling will be done after the declaration of results simultaneously for all the three institutes. Based on the cutoffs, the candidate is required to fill the admission form which is now available on the official BITSAT website. The central and state board toppers can also apply separately under ‘Direct Admissions to Board Toppers’ category. The candidates can fill the admission form till the 30th of June. Tie breaking in case of equal marks in BITSAT 2018 merit list:

Candidates are ranked based on the scores. BITSAT 2018 merit list might see a tie between candidates, and there’s a specific procedure to break the tie. When the scores are the same, marks in mathematics/ biology are checked. Higher is the score in this section, better is the rank of the candidate. If the marks in math/ biology are also the same, Physics marks are compared. Higher the score, better the rank. If the tie still doesn’t break, chemistry marks are compared. If the candidates have scored the same in all the subjects, their performance in the board exams is considered. Thus, the students are ranked.
