Before applying for the CA Foundation 2019, candidates must go through the CA Foundation eligibility criteria and check if they are eligible to appear for the exam:

  36. 10+2 Examination of any other recognized Board/University not covered above but recognized by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) as equivalent to Senior Secondary (10+2) Examination as recognized by Central Government.
  37. 5 (Five) passes at GCE ‘O’ level/GCSE/IGCSE in A/B/C Grades and two passes at GCE ‘Advanced’ level examination of the approved British Examining Bodies is recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to +2 stage qualification of an Indian Body.

How To Apply For CA Foundation 2019

CA Foundation registration is expected to start from 1st week of February 2019. ICAI will release notification for the upcoming exam shortly and we will update you regarding the further updates from ICAI.

Candidates can apply for the exam in the online mode from the official website. Candidates have to successfully apply and make the payment before the last date to ensure further processing of the application form.

Once you have registered with ICAI it will be valid for the period of three years. Candidates can attempt for CA Foundation exam for a maximum of six times as the exam is conducted twice a year. however, If you need to extend the validity of your registration, you can do so by paying the applicable fees to ICAI.

CA Foundation 2019 Exam Pattern

CA Foundation exam consists of 4 papers. Paper 1 and Paper 2 consists of subjective type questions. Paper 3 and Paper 4 consists of objective type questions.

  1. Each paper carries 100 marks and the maximum duration is 3 hours.
  2. Paper 3 and paper 4 have the negative marking scheme and 1/4th of the marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
  3. Candidates must score a minimum of 40% marks in each paper and a minimum of  50% marks in aggregate of all the papers to pass the CA Foundation exam.

CA Foundation 2019 Admit Card

CA Foundation Admit Card is expected to be released online on the official website by the 2nd week of April 2019. Admit card will be made available only after successful completion of the application and payment process before the last date.

Candidates need to download their Admit Card by logging in using their Registration Number and Password. The admit card consists of all the necessary details like candidates name, roll number, photo, signature, etc. If there is any discrepancy in your admit card, contact the official authorities immediately.

Candidates who are going to appear for the upcoming exam need to compulsorily carry the hard copy of their hall ticket along with valid ID proofs. Candidates without hall ticket will not be allowed to attempt the CA Foundation exam 2019.

CA Foundation 2019 Result

The result for CA Foundation 2019 will be released on the official website (icaiexam.icai.org) after the exam is conducted. All the registered users will be notified through mail and SMS when the results are announced.

Candidates can download their CA Foundation Result from the official website by logging in using your Registration Number and Password. Candidates will also be able to download their scorecard.
