CBSE 12th Commerce Result 2018
Large number of students finish their education after taking the board examinations conducted all over India by the CBSE. The board examinations are generally held in the months of February-March. This year as well the board examinations started on 5th March, 2018. Specifically for commerce students their last major subject test would be Economics to be held on 26th March. However the official last exam date is 13th April (Physical Education). The Central Board of Secondary Education generally announces the results in May or June. CBSE exams prove to be the starting point in any student’s career. Every year all aspiring students anxiously wait for the results as this is what decides their college and course options. Students can check their CBSE class 12th commerce result 2018 using their roll no. The official website needs to be accessed and then by entering the roll no. the marks and other details can be viewed. Students need to take a printout of this and keep a hard copy of their mark sheet for future requirements. The detailed procedure has been discussed below. Alternatively, the CBSE also releases a name wise list of marks as well in specific streams. Students need to regularly check out the official CBSE website for latest updates and announcements.

CBSE 12th Commerce Result 2018 – Last Year Analysis
CBSE 2017 results analysis
- Number of schools and exam centers: Students from over 10,673 schools gave the exams, and the examinations were held in a total of 3,504 exam centers.
- Overall pass percentage: Students who registered for CBSE in 2017 stood at 10,76,761, out of which 10,20,762 appeared for the exam. Of these students, 8,37,229 passed, giving a pass percentage of 82.02 percent, which was a 1.03 percent drop from last year’s 83.05 percent.
- Top cities ranked by pass percentage: Thiruvananthapuram had the highest pass percentage at 95.62 percent, followed by Chennai with 92.60 percent and Delhi with 88.37.
- Gender-wise result tally: Girls did better than boys and clearly outweighed them t by 9.5 percent, with 87.50 percent girls passing the exams as against only 78 percent of the boys.
- Total number of candidates who scored above 90 percent and 95 percent: There was immense apprehension about the competitive results following the marks moderation row, but 63,247 students scored 90 percent and above, and out of those, 10,091 scored 95 percent and above.
However this year’s candidates must know that after all the controversies related to the policy of moderation this year’s results also face a dilemma. With all media houses portraying different facts related to moderation, students must not be leniant this year and be ready for a dip in high marks unlike the previous few years.
Institution-wise comparative performance
Following is an institution-wise breakdown of the performances in the examinations:
- Government-aided: 81.63 percent
- Government: 82.29 percent
- Independent: 79.27 percent
- Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs): 95.73 percent
- Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KV): 94.60 percent
- Central Tibetan Schools Administration(CTSA): 83.57 percent
