The wait for the JEE Main admit cards finally seems to be coming to an end. Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main admit cards will soon be released by the Central Board of Secondary Education, which is conducting the examination nationwide in two phases, issued a statement confirming the imminent release of the admit cards.

Initially, the admit cards were supposed to be released on 1st of March. However, due to certain technical difficulties, CBSE posted on its website that it won’t be able to deliver the admit cards on the promised date. This led to heavy speculation that the admit cards would then be released in the second week of March. To clear the confusion among the students and parents, the CBSE issued a release saying that the admit cards will be released soon.

JEE Main ranks will be calculated after taking into account the JEE Main score and the 12th board percentage. These ranks will then be used to gain admission into the NITs, IIITs,  and other such CFTIs. Other than the central engineering institutes, some states will also be offering admission into the state-run engineering colleges based on a state-wise JEE Main rank list.

Given the high stakes involved, the initial delay in the release of the admit cards had led to a palpable anxiety in the student community. However now, with the confirmation from the CBSE, the students and parents are now relieved. As the CBSE hasn’t specified anything till now, it still remains to be seen when exactly the admit cards will be released.

The admit card is a very important document and we suggest keeping multiple copies of the same while appearing for the examination.
