COMEDK (Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental, Karnataka) is an entrance examination for around 20 thousand seats of Medical, Engineering and Dental programmes offered by more than 14 medical colleges, 25 dental colleges and 150 engineering colleges of Karnataka under the umbrella of Association of Medical, Dental and Engineering Colleges (AMDEC) run by the Karnataka Professional Colleges Foundation (KPCF) Trust. The Association conducts two examination round the year, in which one is UGET (Under Graduate Entrance test) and other is PGET (Post Graduate Entrance Test). There are in all 15 medical, 24 dental and more than 180 unaided, private engineering colleges which are members of COMEDK, across the State of Karnataka and which offer various courses in Medical, Dental or Engineering studies at Under-Graduate level. The courses offered at the Under-Graduate level include MBBS, BDS or B.E programs.

Announcement of Vacancies
The counselling authority will declare vacancies available in various participating medical institute of COMEDK after each counselling session. Candidates can check the course-wise and college-wise availability of MBBS seats by checking the dynamic screen arranged for this purpose. Seats will be allotted to candidates are per their rank in merit list and choices filled by them
Allotment of MBBS seats in participating medical and dental Colleges
The seats will be allotted to candidates as per their rank in COMEDK UGET Medical 2017 rank list and option for course and college chosen by them. The seats will be allotted as per candidate’s choice and the availability of the same. After the completion of COMEDK UGET Medical 2017 seat allotment process a letter will be issued to candidates. The seat allotted has to be confirmed by candidates after paying the requisite course fee for MBBS through demand draft issued by any designated banks. COMEDK UGET Medical 2017 fee receipt will be issued along with the COMEDK UGET 2017 seat allotment letter after the payment is done.
Reporting and Admission at allotted medical and dental colleges
- Candidates have to report to the allotted medical and dental college to complete the admission formalities as per the specified dates. At the time of admission candidates have to furnish the COMEDK UGET Medical 2017 seat allotment letter.
- In the case of obtaining a provisional allotment letter, candidates can obtain confirmed seat allotment letter by submitting the requisite original documents on or before the last date prescribed for the conversion. The candidates who will not convert their provisional allotment within the stipulated time will forfeit the seat and an amount of Rs.50, 000
- The forfeited COMEDK MBBS seats will be added to the second round of COMEDK UGET Medical 2017 counselling. Any surrender of seat before the second round of counselling but will not be consider after the last date for surrendering. Seats surrender after or during the second round counselling will not be accepted and will be construed as ‘seat blocking’ and appropriate action would be initiated against such candidates
