EAMCET Counselling To Begin From July 5:
EAMCET Counselling for admissions for engineering, agriculture and medical programs (ayurvedic, homeo and unani) commence from July 5 said Mr. Kadiyam Srihari, deputy chief minister and education minister.
EAMCET, or the Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada on behalf of APSCHE. This examination is the prerequisite for admission into various professional courses offered in University/ Private Colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh and Telengana. Many other colleges offering graduation courses like BDS, B.Pharm., BSc., Pharm.D. , B.E, B. Tech, etc. require qualification in this exam. The examination for the year 2016 took place on April 29, 2016.
For the MBBS and BDS admissions, a separate exam is scheduled to take place on July 9.
EAMCET’s list of affiliated colleges haven’t been issued out yet by the JNTU. In the first phase candidates with ranks between 1 and 45000 should exercise their web options between July 5 and 6 and those candidates with ranks 45001 to 90000 have their turn on July 7 and 9 and ranks following them get their chance on July 9 and 10.
Candidates are allowed to change options on July 10 ad 11 and the final allotment of seats will be made on July 14.
Students were advised to pay their fees on July 21 by reporting at the respective colleges. The final phase of the counselling will be on July 24 and 25 were all the verification processes will take place.
Once the seats are allotted in the final phase on July 27, classes are scheduled to commence on July 29.
