IBPS 2018:

IBPS is an autonomous organization which works for the recruitment of clerical and official grade level. It conducts the exams for various banking and financial organization. Previously the candidates had to write multiple exams which are been conducted by the banking authorities. But from 2012, the recruitment process has undergone a tremendous change. IBPS conducts five exams per year for banking sector recruitment. There are two exams conducted for probationary officers, two for clerical levels and one for specialist officers consisting vacancies for agriculture, law, and technical requirements. Having a job in the banking sector and getting placed in a nationalized bank has been the most secure and sought out career stream for than a decade now. Millions of aspirants apply and appear for Bank Exams like IBPS PO, IBPS Clerk, IBPS RRB, SBI PO, RBI Grade etc.to become the part of one of the reputed banks in the country. These bank exams are conducted on all India basis throughout the year. The aspirants interested to make a career in banking sector must prepare themselves well before appearing for the exams upcoming in the year 2018.

IBPS publishes notification for IBPS Clerk, PO, RRB and specialist officers on its website http://www.ibps.in.  Students who want to sit for the exam must go to the IBPS website and register for the respective examination by filling the application form and paying the registration fee. The online application should be filled carefully as it cannot be edited after it has been submitted. The candidates must visit IBPS website and click on new registration to start the process. Before starting the registration, process students must have a valid mobile number, email id with them and need to have scanned copy of your photo and signature. For SC/ST/OBC/PWD the fees are Rs.100 and Rs.600 for unreserved category students.

IBPS 2018 RRB Notification          

Tentative calendar for the year 2018 has been released by IBPS.

  1. Officer Scale I and Office assistant: The preliminary examination will be held in the month of August on 11th, 12th, 19th, 25th and 1st of September 2018. The main exam for Scale I is on 30th September 2018 and for Office assistant, it will be on 7th October 2018.
  2. Officer Scale-II and III: There will be a single examination for this. The date of the exam is 30th September 2018.

IBPS PO

The selection process involves a preliminary examination, Main examination, group discussion, personal interview and medical test. The preliminary exam will be held in the month of October on 13th, 14th, 20th and 21st. The Main examination will be held on 18th November 2018.

IBPS Clerk

The selection process involves a preliminary examination, Main examination, group discussion, personal interview and medical test. The preliminary exam will be held in the month of November on 8th, 9th, 15th, and 16th. The main exam will be held on 20th January 2019.

IBPS Specialist Officers

The date for preliminary examination is on 29th, 30th December 2018. The main exam will be held on 27th January 2019.

The first preliminary exam will consist of 100 multiple choice questions divided into subjects of English, reasoning and quantitative aptitude. The time for the exam is 1 hour. It is an online test with 30,35,35 questions respectively. After you have cleared the preliminary examination there will be the main exam. For IBPS Clerk the main exam contains 190 multiple choice questions of 200 marks divided into four categories English, General Awareness, Reasoning ability and Computer aptitude together and Quantitative aptitude with 40 questions in English and 50 each in the other categories. The time for the exam is 160 minutes. For IBP PO the main exam consists of 155 multiple choice questions of 200 marks and 2 question each on letter writing and essay writing. The sections in the main exam consist of 45 reasoning aptitude, 40 general awareness, 35 each in English language and Data Interpretation. The time for the exam is 180 minutes and 30 minutes for the subjective English paper.

After the main exam, the shortlisted candidates need to go through a personal interview and group discussion. Based on the main exam, personal interview and the group discussion the candidates are selected. The joining of the selected candidates starts from April of 2019.
