The IBPS Clerk Exam is a common examination conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection in order to select candidates for the clerical cadre in various Public Sector Banks across the country. All Public Sector Banks use the IBPS Clerk exam as a base to fill vacancies in these posts. The IBPS started conducting this exam in 2011. This is the eighth year when this exam will be conducted and hence named IBPS CWE VII. The IBPS CWE exam is conducted online at two levels- Prelims and Mains. The cumulative score of both these exams are taken into consideration and qualifying candidates are selected for the posts accordingly. IBPS Clerk Notification 2018
The official IBPS Clerk notification of exam 2018-19 will be released in September 2018. But tentative dates of the prelims and the mains have been released by the IBPS. The Prelims exam is scheduled for the 8th, 9th, 15th and 16th of December 2018. The Mains exam is scheduled on the 20th of January 2019. The above schedule has been specified in the IBPS date calendar. The online registration for IBPS CWE 2018 will tentatively start from 12th September 2018 and will continue till 3rd October 2018.

IBPS Clerk 2018 Application Fee
For the for candidates belonging to General Category, the application fees for IBPS Clerk CWE 2018 exam is Rs. 600/-. For candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category, the application fee is reduced to Rs. 100/-
IBPS Clerk Exam 2018 Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have completed their graduation and obtained a degree in any of the streams such as BA, B.Com, BSc, B.Tech, etc., from a recognized University by the Government of India.
- Candidates should have a valid Mark-sheet/degree: A Certificate to prove that they are graduates on the day they were registered for the exam. The percentage of marks obtained in Graduation should also be mentioned at time of registration for the IBPS Bank-Clerk examination.
- Computer Literacy: Knowledge of computer operation is a must as IBPS Clerk exam is conducted online.
- Language Proficiency: Candidates should have verbal and written proficiency in official language of the State/UT. The candidate should be able to read, write and speak the language.
Nationality / Citizenship of Applicants
Candidates applying for IBPS CWE/Bank Clerk Examination should be one of the following:
- Citizen of India
- Subject of Nepal or Bhutan
- Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement.
- Person of Indian Origin (PIO) who have migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam or East African countries of Zaire, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, Malawi, with the intention of permanent settlement in India
Candidates belonging to the category 2, 3, 4 must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India in their favour.

IBPS Clerk exam 2018 Selection Process
The recruitment is done in two phases- Preliminary and Mains. Students are required to clear both these exams. Only those candidates who qualify for both the exams will be selected. There is no Interview process. For final selected, weight is given to the scores of the Main Exam.
