ICSE 10th Board Results 2018
ICSE boards commenced from 26th February, 2018 this year. After the exams are concluded, it can be understood how difficult it is to wait for the results for such a long period. The good news is that the candidates can check their ICSE 10th board results on the official website here. The results are declared today i.e. 14th May 2018 on its official website.
Some quick facts of the ICSE Class 10th Results are as follows:
- The pass percentage for ISC Result 2018 is 96.21%
- The pass percentage for ICSE Result 2018 is 98.51%
- This year the ICSE 10th Board exams had started from 26 February and ended on 28 March.

ICSE 10th Board Results – How to View?
Candidates are required to follow the following steps to check their ICSE board results
- Login here to access the results page.
- Select the Course Code as ICSE, from the drop-down menu provided in the link.
- Furnish your Candidate UID (Unique ID).
- Enter the Captcha displayed & click on “Show result” button.
- “Print result” button will get activated for candidates to take a printout for future reference
Candidates can also get their ICSE 10th board results messaged to their mobile phones by sending “ICSE” (without inverted commas or any other symbol. Space here is one character space) to 09248082883. They need not check their results online in such case. For getting a printout, however, they’ll have to follow the procedure above.
ICSE 10th board results – Grading Scheme & Qualification criteria
Minimum pass marks, in ICSE Boards, for each subject, are 35%. Statement of Marks issued contains marks scored in respective subjects & grade obtained. Result sheet carried overall score on a scale of 1 to 9; 1 being the best score. Quality of performance & grade obtained go with each other as depicted in the following table

ICSE boards are comparatively considered as more lenient in their marking, compared to the CBSE board. Let’s have a look at the previous ICSE 10th board performances, with respect to the increase in pass percentage over the years.

It can be seen that the pass percentage has improved over the years from 2013 to 2016. The right magnitude of this change is realised when translated into absolute numbers – between 2013 to 2016 no. of students who passed has increased by over 62 thousand students which are not ordinary by any means.

The ICSE Examination has been conducted in 57 written subjects of which 22 are Indian languages and 9 are foreign languages. For ICSE in India, the Southern region has the best pass percentage i.e. 99.64% followed by the Western region (99.64%), Eastern region (98.22%) & Northern region (97.85%). About CISCE
CISCE (Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations) first came into existence in the year 1958. Since its inception, the board has witnessed several authoritarian & decision making changes. Finally in the year 1973, CISCE was granted the permission to conduct the public examination. CISCE yearly conducts both ISC and ICSE examination. ICSE board examinations are conducted for class 10th & ISC board examination for class 12th.
