International Institute of Information Technology Pune – IIIT Pune, also known as I2IT (I Square IT), was established in 2003 as a center of excellence in Information Technology and allied areas. The Institute was conferred the Deemed University status by Govt. of India in the year 2003. It is located in Maharashtra and approved by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education). 12IT is an autonomous college where academic courses and curriculums are designed by the institute’s professors and researchers. The college offers various courses like B.Tech and has state-of-the-art infrastructure and facilities like computer labs, auditorium, sports and more. IIIT Pune also has well trained and experienced faculty members.

Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process

The application process for IIITP is entirely online. Candidates have to go to JEE Main website and fill the form online to apply for the exam. Students who secure a valid rank in JEE Main have to go to JoSAA’s website and get themselves registered for seat allocation. They need to choose IIIT Pune as their desired choice at the time of registration. If any candidate is allotted IIIT Pune, then he/she is allowed to join the institute after the verification of documents and after paying the necessary fees.

Documents Required

At the time of application, there is no requirement of submission of documents. However, when a candidate has been allotted a seat and asked to report at a center, he/she has to produce the following documents for verification.

• • Three passport photographs identical to the one uploaded while registering for the JEE (Main) exam.

• • 10+2 performance check

• • Provisional seat allotment letter

• • Undertaking by the candidate

• • Proof of seat acceptance fee payment

• • Photo Identity Card

• • Admit card of JEE (Main)

• • Scorecard of JEE (Main)

• • Date of birth proof (Class 10 marks sheet)

• 10+2 or equivalent marks sheet

IIIT Pune has been formed with an intention to provide quality higher education to the youth of India – irrespective of the students’ economic/social status. Which is why admission to the Institute is purely on academic merit basis.

IIIT Pune Reservation Criteria

Indian Institute of Information Technology, Pune offers reservation for students belonging to smaller communities or categories. The reservation criteria are as follows:

For admission into M.Tech./MBA/MS, students have to register and apply online. Admission is on the basis of percentage scored at the graduate/postgraduate level (BE/B.Tech./BCA/Bsc/M.Sc, etc) and performance in the online entrance test conducted by I2IT, Pune. The institute also accepts scores of competitive exams such as CAT/XAT/GRE/GMAT/GATE/CET/MAT/TANCET/NET written anytime during the 12 months prior to the date of application. Shortlisted students have to appear for a personal interview.

I2IT is situated within the Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park, Hinjawadi, Pune. Located on 10.22 acres of beautiful land, the institute boasts more than 30,000 sq meters of built-up area comprising academic buildings, hostels, library and other amenities.

With state-of-the-art laboratories and wired and wireless infrastructure, I2IT offers one of the best educational infrastructures in India. The campus also hosts a convention centre, a cafeteria with a facility to accommodate 600 people, gymnasium and sports facilities such as basketball and table tennis.
