National Talent Search Scholarship (NTS)
Those who are awarded with the NTS scholarship during their 10 + 2, are further continued with it during their undergraduate education as well. For renewal of the same, students may kindly submit the forms issued by the NCERT to the Academic Section at the beginning of each academic year.

National Scholarships (All States)
These state scholarships are awarded to the students from their respective states. The applications for the same are forwarded through IIT. These scholarships are awarded/renewed every year for which the students have to submit their progress report at the beginning of academic year.

Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment ,Government of India, Central Sector Scholarship For SC Students
This is awarded to top 10 students based on their respective JEE ranks, with the condition that their parental income should not exceed Rs 2 lakhs per annum. In it, along with the provision of reimbursement of fees, there is also provision of:
– a onetime personal payment compensation of Rs.45,000/-
– monthly living expenses of Rs 2,200/- per month, and
– books and stationery Rs 3,000/-per annum

Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India – Central Sector Scholarship For ST Students
It is awarded to top 5 students based on their respective JEE ranks, with the condition that their parental income should not exceed Rs 2 lakhs per annum. In it, along with the provision of reimbursement of fees, there is also provision of:
– monthly living expenses of Rs 2,200/- per month, and
– books and stationery Rs 3,000/-per annum

Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India, Merit-cum-Means Scholarship
It is awarded to the students belonging from the minority communities such as Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists and Parsis, whose parental income does not exceed Rs 2.5 lakhs per annum. This scholarship amount will be sanctioned by the State Govt., and 30% of the scholarships are reserved for girls students. In it, there are provisions of:
– Maintenance Expenses @ Rs.10,000/- per annum for hostellers, and @ Rs.5,000 for day-scholars
– Reimbursement of the course fee by a maximum limit of Rs.20,000/- or the actual fees, whichever is less

MHRD Scholarship for A Single Girl Child
The criterion for the same is decided by the Government of India norms, and a payment of Rs.40,000/- per year is awarded.

Aditya Birla Scholarship
The selection for the same is made by the Aditya Birla Group among the top 20 students in the JEE Rank. An amount of Rs.60,000/- per annum is provided, which is renewable every year subjected to norms fixed by the Aditya Birla Group.

Inspire Scholarship (Department of Science and Technology, Government of India)
Under it, the students admitted to the Dual Degree (B.S. & M.S) and for 5 years Dual Degree (B.Tech & M.Tech) Programs are eligible to apply for the scholarship amount of Rs.60,000/annum per student.
Institute Specific Scholarships
In addition to these aforementioned schemes/scholarships, some institute-specific scholarships are also mentioned below:
Merit- cum- Means Scholarship (MCM)
It is awarded @ Rs.1000/ per month with the benefit of free tuition fee per semester to a maximum of 25% of the sanctioned intake of undergraduate students. The eligibility for the same is as follows:
a) Merit Criterion: The JEE Advanced AIR will be the criterion for freshers. In subsequent years, the corresponding criterion will be their academic performance during the preceding academic year.
b) Means Criterion: At present, the students whose parents annual gross income from all sources does not exceed Rs.4,50,000/- are eligible to apply for the same. A copy of Income Certificate issued by the Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar or the Income Tax Return (ITR) has to be submitted by the parent or guardian while applying for it.
Named Scholarships
These are also awarded based on the same eligibility criteria as mentioned in MCM with much less number of awardees.
Facilities of Free Messing
Under it, all SC/ST students are exempted from the payment of the tuition fees. The facilities of free messing (only basic menu) and a pocket allowance of Rs.250/-p.m. is also granted to the eligible SC/ST students. Such students are also eligible for exemption from the payment of the hostel room rent, subjected to the means criterion of the MCM. However, the student who avails such facilities cannot accept any other scholarship from Govt., Semi-Govt. or private sources.

Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi
Singhal Scholarship
It is awarded to the first year female students of Electrical Engineering or Mechanical engineering on the basis of MCM subjected to their parental income being upto Rs. 5.0 lacs per annum. The amount of scholarship is Rs. 6,500/-.
Rupa Moudgil Scholarship
Its one merit cum means scholarship which is awarded to an undergraduate fresher per semester. The amount of the scholarship is Rs.1,000/- per month for 10 months.
Daulat Ram Mendiratta Scholarship
This is awarded to a 1st year undergraduate student of Civil Engineering on the basis of his/her JEE Merit. The amount of scholarship is Rs. 1,000/- per month for 10 months.
Merit-cum-Means Scholarship
A Merit-cum-Means Scholarship of Rs.1000/- per month and a tuition fee waiver is awarded to 25% of the students admitted under the B.Tech. and Dual Degree programs on fulfillment of prescribed Merit/Means criteria.
In addition to regular scholarships, the Institute also offers: About 200 endowment scholarships for undergraduate students and scholarships and tuition fee waiver for SC/ST students.
Merit-cum-Means Scholarships
Here the Merit-cum-Means Scholarship Awardees receive full tuition fee waiver and a pocket allowance of Rs 1000/- per month for the entire duration of the program. This is a merit based scholarship, and hence JEE Advanced AIR is the criterion. Also, the parents annual income should be within certain limits, which is currently fixed at Rs 6.0 Lakhs.
Free Basic Mess and Pocket Allowance
This is awarded to SC/ST students undertaking undergraduate programmes.
Merit-cum-Means Scholarships given by the Alumni of IIT Kanpur
A total of about 50 scholarships are currently available under it. Some of the scholarships herein may be for the students of a particular department . Most of the scholarships are at the rate of Rs 2000/- per month for a duration of 10 months, and require that the parents annual income should be within certain limits (currently Rs 4.50 Lakhs for most scholarships; however, the amount may vary from scholarship to scholarship)
Here the Merit-cum-Means Scholarship is awarded to 25% of the undergraduate students. Several other scholarships are also announced from time to time. Bank loans are also easily available whenever required. In addition, financial help is also provided as Institute Free Studentship and Scholarships for undergraduate students belonging to the scheduled castes and scheduled tribes.
Merit-cum Means Scholarship
It is awarded to students currently enrolled in an undergraduate program admitted through JEE on the basis of AIR rank, whose parent’s annual income are within the prescribed limits (currently fixed at Rs. 6.0 Lakhs per annum). It is Awarded to 25% of the total students admitted. The students of General & OBC categories receive Full Tuition Fee Waiver and Pocket Allowance of Rs. 1,000/- per month for 10 months. The students of SC/ST category receive Pocket Allowance of Rs. 250/- month and Mess Charges @ Rs.1,500/- month for 10 months.

Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati
Institute Merit-cum-Means Scholarship
It is awarded to non SC/ST students in the Institute strictly on merit-cum-means basis and on the recommendations of the Scholarship Committee. For the general category students, their parental income should not exceed the prescribed limit of Rs. 4.5 lakhs per annum. Students are also not considered for McM scholarships if they have passed their 10+2 examination from schools with annual tuition fees of more than Rs. 30,000 per annum. In this scholarship, merit is evaluated by the Institute. The scholarship has the benefits of a fixed stipend per month for two semesters (Aug-Nov & Jan-Apr, a total of 8 months) @ Rs. 1000 per month along with the Tuition Fee Waiver for two semesters.
For the SC/ST students, there is only means criterion same as for the General/OBC students. The benefits include a fixed stipend per month for two semesters (August-November & January-April, totaling 8 months) of Rs. 250 per month with free messing (only for the basic menu) facility and an exemption from Hostel Room Rent.
Institute Merit-cum-Means Scholarship
The students whose parents annual income does not exceeds Rs.4,50,000/- are eligible to apply for the same. It is available for 25% of students admitted, with an exemption from payment of of Rs 25,000/semester. Renewal of scholarship is also possible every semester, subjected to a minimum GPA of 5.0. in the previous semester.
Institute Free Studentship
Its identical to MCM with availability to only 10 % of the students who do not qualify for the MCM scholarship.
Institute National Prize
On the basis of their ranks in the JEE and with the condition of parents annual income not exceeding Rs.4,50,000/-, it is available for 7% of students admitted. In it, a national prize of Rs. 1000/- (one time award) and a certificate of merit is provided.
Institute SC/ST Scholarship
The students whose parents annual income does not exceeds Rs.4,50,000/- are eligible in it. Free messing (basic menu only) facility with a pocket allowance of Rs.250/- per month and an exemption of hostel seat rent is awarded to the students. The Tuition Fee is also exempted for all SC/ST students.
Girish Ready Scholarship
Two scholarships are awarded on the basis of the highest JEE rank with the condition that the parents income should not exceed Rs.5,00,000/-, and one scholarship is provided on the basis of the all round performance in the previous school years with the condition that the parents annual income does not exceeds Rs.5,00,000/-.
Sri V. Ranga Raju Memorial Scholarship
It is on the basis of Merit cum Means scholarship, with the basis that the parents annual income does not exceeds Rs.5 lakhs. When MCM is equal, preference is given to students from rural areas. One B.Tech. student is awarded Rs.500/- per month for 4 years. The provision of renewal of scholarship every semester is also there, subjected to a minimum GPA of 5.0.
Kanchi Kamakoti Jagadguru Sri Chandrasekarendra Saraswathi Endowment Award
It is awarded on the basis of Merit cum Means, subjected to the condition that the parents annual income is upto Rs. 5.5 lakhs. In it, a one time payment of Rs.2,500/- is provided to one first year B.Tech student.
Pratibha Scholarship of the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh
It is open to the B.Tech students, with the condition that they should be the native of the state of Andhra Pradesh and have secured a minimum of first class with 60% marks in Intermediate/XII class or its equivalent along with their annual parental income not exceeding Rs. 1 lakh. A payment of Rs.20,000/- per annum is provided and its renewable every year. The students interested should apply directly to A.P. Govt. for the same.
OPJEMS
The selection is done among the top 20 students based on their respective JEE ranks. An amount of Rs.65,000/- per annum is awarded for the B.Tech students.
Shipping Corporation of India Scholarship
Its available for all SC/ST/BPL students enrolled in the B.Tech. in Naval Architecture course, wherein an amount of Rs.48,000/- per annum is provided, or a full tuition fee/hostel charges.
TODAI Scholarship
Its offered to two excellent B.Tech. students amongst the Aerospace Engg., Electrical Engg. and Mechanical Engg. branches. The scholarship amount is 2 Lakhs Japanese yen per year.
MCM Scholarship
It is awarded to a maximum of 25% of the enrolled students in the undergraduate program. Students whose parents’ annual income is not more than Rs. 4,50,000/- can apply for this scholarship. All the awardees are eligible for Rs. 1,000/- p.m. for ten months plus exemption from the payment of their annual tuition fees.
Freeship
IIT Gandhinagar offers freeships to students who are not eligible for MCM Scholarships. This scholarship is available to additional 10% of the students who do not qualify or could not be awarded the MCM Scholarship. All the awardees are normally exempted from the payment of their annual tuition fees. The scholarships expire at the end of academic year.
Free Basic Messing and Pocket Allowance
Free basic messing and pocket allowance of Rs. 250 is awarded to all SC/ST students whose parents’ annual income is not more than Rs. 4,50,000. The scholarships expire at the end of academic year.
Gita and Prithwish Goswami Scholarship
This is awarded to one first year undergraduate student. Only the general and OBC category of students are eligible for this scholarship whose parents’ annual income is not more than Rs. 4,50,000/-. All the awardees are eligible for Rs. 1500/- month for ten months from the endowment and are exempted from the payment of annual tuition fees from the MCM Scholarship Scheme. The scholarships expires at the end of academic year.
