The Institute of Science and Technology is located in Medinipur in West Bengal, India. It was founded by Gopsai Avinandan Sangha. It was established with the sole aim to serve the people by imparting quality education. It is also known as IST CK Town or even IST CKT or simply IST. The Institute of Science & Technology is a private engineering and management institute of higher education that is situated in West Bengal, India. This Institute is recognized by the Directorate of Technical Education, West Bengal. The ISK is affiliated with the West Bengal University of Technology also known as WBUT and the West Bengal State Council Of Technical Education also known as WBSCTE. As the Institute is recognized by the Government of West Bengal, the AICTE i.e. the All India Council of Technical Education also approves of all the courses on offer. Of late, the Institute of Science and Technology is considered amongst the best private engineering colleges in the state as well as an emerging hub for technical and engineering education in the Eastern part of India.

The Institute of Science and Technology is situated beside the State Highway 4, on the outskirts of Chandrakona Town of West Midnapur district. The area covered by the campus is vast, it is spread over 20 acres (81,000 m²) of land. The Institute campus is located 18 km away from the Prayag Film City. The IST campus has academic blocks, a training and placement cell, an administrative block, food court, laboratories, hostel, playgrounds, workshops etc.

Admission Procedure

The admission to the B.Tech courses that are on offer at the Institute of Science and Technology is on the basis of the WBJEE i.e. the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination as well as the All India Engineering Entrance Examination.

The Academic Council of the University decides the admission procedure to other courses. Direct admission is available for a limited number of Non-resident Indian/Foreign National students, to the Institute.\
