The Board of Intermediate Examination Andhra Pradesh was established in 1971. It has been established to monitor Intermediate Education in Andhra Pradesh. Its headquarters are located at Nampally, Hyderabad. It aims to provide state of the art education compliant with international guidelines to the students of the state of Andhra Pradesh, and also focuses on continuous improvement of Educational standards. Herein, we shall have a look at all the important details associated with the examination and the Intermediate Betterment Results 2018.

The Board conducts the annual examination every year in March or April, and the Advanced Supplementary Examination in June or July. It is one of the most important functions of the Board. Apart from conducting exams, the board has several other functions. It prescribes syllabuses and approves textbooks. It lays down administrative regulations and guidelines for Junior Colleges. It publishes textbooks as well. IT prescribes the necessary qualifications for teachers eligible to teach. IT grants affiliation to interested institutes which offer the intermediate courses. It issues certificates and processes results. IT is also engaged in periodic inspections of the Junior Colleges. The Educational Research and Training Wing oversees this aspect of the functioning of the board.  The syllabus is divided into three parts.

Part-I English
Part-II Second Languages
Telugu, Hindi, Sanskrit, Urdu, Arabic, French, Tamil, Kannada, Oriya and Marathi
Part-III Optional Subjects         
Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Commerce, Economics, Civics, History, Psychology, Public Administration, Logic, Sociology, Geography, and Geology Modern Language Subjects
English, Telugu, Hindi, and Urdu

The Examination

The Intermediate Public Examination was conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education first in 1978-1979 and has been conducted ever since then. The exam is conducted at the end of the first year and then also at the end of the second year. Examinees are tested in English – Part 1, Second Language – Part II and the Group subjects – Part III at the end of the first year and second year, and also ethics and human values. The Third Group subjects are different for the Arts Group and the Science Group. The Science Group can have either Physics Chemistry Mathematics or Biology Chemistry Physics subjects. The Arts Group – civics, economics, commerce, geography, geology, logic, civics, sociology, music, principles of public administration and psychology – has full marks of 500 in the first year and 500 in the second year. The Science group has two different patterns. For the Mathematics Physics Chemistry group, the full marks is 470 for the first year and 530 for the second year. For the Biology Physics Chemistry group, full marks is 440 for the first year and 560 for the second year. Candidates need to score at least 35 marks in each subject to pass that subject. Divisions are calculated on the basis of all the papers a candidate passes in the first year and second year.

Intermediate Betterment Results 2018

The Intermediate Supply Examinations and the intermediate Betterment Examinations results will come out together. The dates have not been announced till now. The expected time is around the first week of June 2018.  Last year the results were published on 08.06.2017.

How to check the Intermediate Betterment Results 2018

  • Once the notification is out, visit bieap.gov.in
  • Alternatively, write Board Intermediate Examination Andhra Pradesh 2018 results on Google.com and visit the portals that open up.
  • Select the year and the branch.
  • Enter the hall ticket number, date of birth and name.
  • Enter the captcha code properly.
  • The results should be displayed now. Its good practice to keep a printout ready for the same.

Interpretation

Grade A: The candidate has secured 75% or above marks

Grade B: The candidate has secured 60% to 75% marks

Grade C: The candidate has secured 50% to 60% marks

Grade D: The candidate has secured 35% to 50% marks

P – Pass

*P = supplementary pass

F= Fail

*F = supplementary fail

A= absent

W= withheld

M= Malpractice

N= Not registered
