As per recent developments, the official Joint Engineering Examination (JEE) advanced 2018 website i.e. jeeadv.ac.in now open, which means it is currently functional as it has been launched. The Indian Institute of Technology – Kanpur (IIT-K) will be conducting the exam next year on May 20 as now the JEE Advanced 2018 website opens.

According to the latest details available on the website, ‘The Joint Entrance Examination (advance) 2018 is scheduled to be conducted by the seven zonal IITs. The overall performance of a student in this examination will decide whether he/she will be able to get admission into the Bachelor’s, Integrated Masters and Dual Degree programs (entry at the 10+2 level) in all the IITs. The final decision about the JEE (advance) 2018 and admission to IITs will be announced by the Joint Admission Board (JAB) 2018. It is also confirmed that the examination will be conducted on May 20, 2018, in two sessions. The entire process of the JEE (advance) 2018 Examination will be done through a fully computer-based test mode, so it is important to note that the JEE advanced 2018 website opens. The exam will include two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2 and both of them will be of three hours duration each.

But while the date of the JEE Advancd examination has been disclosed and the JEE advanced 2018 website opens, the date of the actual JEE Main examination date is still not confirmed. Various reports state that the date will be announced by the Central Board of Secondary Education by the end of this year.

JEE (advance) is generally conducted by zonal IITs on a rotational basis every year. It is certain that IIT-Kanpur will be conducting the examination next year, but IIT Madras has already conducted the exam this year. Around 11 lakh candidates have given the JEE Main exam this year, out of which, 2.21 lakh qualified for JEE advanced. JEE is the only examination wherein students get an opportunity to grab a seat in the 23 prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). So, now that JEE advanced 2018 website has opened, it’s a great chance for candidates to try their luck.
