JEE Main 2015 Answer Key with Solutions


JEE Main 2015 exam is the 1st part of the JEE. Qualifying in JEE Mains exam is mandatory for students to be eligible for JEE (Advanced). Institutes like IIITs, NITs, etc. use the results of JEE Mains for admission of students.  Around 15 lakh students will be writing JEE (Mains) in 2015.


Till 2013, there were 2 independent exams – AIEEE and IIT JEE – for admissions to NITs, IIITs and IITs. During 2014, for the first time, JEE happened in 2 phases – Mains and Advanced.

Participating Institutes:

30 NITs including Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology Jalandhar, Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur, Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology Bhopal, Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad, Agartala, Arunachal Pradesh, Calicut, Delhi, Durgapur, Goa, Hamirpur, Jamshedpur, Kurukshetra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Patna, Puducherry, Raipur, Rourkela, Sikkim, Silchar, Srinagar, Surathkal, Tiruchirapalli, Uttarakhand, Warangal, Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology Surat, Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology Nagpur


There are other Central Government and State Government Funded Institutions which admit students using JEE Main Results.

Date of Birth: Born on or after October 01, 1990. SC, ST and PwD candidates who are born on or after October 01, 1985 are eligible.

Year of Appearance in Qualifying Exams: Only those candidates who have passed their Class 12th Exam or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2013 or 2014; or those who are appearing in their Class 12th Exam or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2015 are eligible to appear in JEE (Mains) – 2015.

Number of Attempts: A student can attempt JEE (Main) a maximum of 3 times

Date of Exam: April 4, 2015 (Pen & Paper Based Exam); April 10 & 11, 2015 (Computer Based Exam)

Results: April 27, 2015


General 50.5%
SC 15%
ST 7.5%

Within each of these four categories, 3% horizontal reservation is available for PwD candidates.
