This news will come as a relief to students who have not filled JEE Main form till now. CBSE has extended the JEE Main 2017 application form submission deadline to January 16, previously which was 2nd January, 2017. JEE Main application form 2017 was made available from December 1 onwards. The other terms and conditions for online submission of application form remain the same.
CBSE also said that the last date of online submission will not be extended further than this.
As for JEE Main application fee – it can be paid till 11:59 pm of 17th January, 2017. Payment can be done via net banking/debit card/credit card, E-Challan, Paytm and SBI Buddy. Candidates must ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria, before filling the JEE Main application form.
As per another official notification released by MHRD, “All the Indian citizen candidates should possess AADHAAR Card issued by UIDAI with their correct details”. This applies to the JEE aspirants too. Aadhaar Card Number has been made a mandatory field in JEE Main application form, 2017. So, candidates must have valid Aadhar cards to enter details validated with the UIDAI’s data. Without Aadhaar numbers, the candidates can’t fill JEE Main 2017 application form by any means. So it’s high time you get one.
It is also to be noted that Aadhaar Card number is not required by the candidates belonging to the states of Assam, Meghalaya and Jammu & Kashmir. Candidates from these 3 states have to enter their passport number, bank account number, ration card number or any other valid government identity number while filling the application form of JEE Main 2017. But for candidates from rest of the states, Aadhar Card is mandatory.
