JEE MAIN 2018 DATE ANNOUNCED
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Friday announced the dates for the offline Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2018. The pen and paper test will be held on April 8, 2018. The online test is yet to be scheduled and as per the reports, it is speculated to be held somewhere in mid-April. The online exam dates will be confirmed soon. For now, JEE MAIN 2018 date announced for the offline test only.
JEE Main (Joint Entrance Examination) is a top-level Engineering Entrance Exam of India conducted by CBSE Board. The candidates can get admissions in B.Tech/B.E/B.Arch courses in NITs, IIITs, and other engineering institutions through JEE Mains, though IITs offer admission to these courses through JEE Advanced examination. Candidates who qualify JEE Main Exam will be considered eligible to appear in JEE Advanced examination.
As per the reports, the JEE Main 2018 paper 1 (B.E./ B.Tech) will be held in both online and offline mode. Paper 2 (B.Arch/B.Plan) will be online only. The online registration for JEE Main 2018 is expected to begin from the first week of December 2017 and last until the end of January 2018.
An applicant can attempt JEE Main exam 3 times only.
JEE Main 2018 will be held in 104 cities across India and 9 foreign cities. Only those applicant’s whose date of birth fall on or after 01 October 1993 (for general candidates) and 01, October 1988 (for candidates from SC, ST and PWD category) are eligible for the examination.
Applicants who want to apply for JEE Main 2018, should possess Aadhaar card issued by UIDAI. While filling application form of JEE (Main)–2018, the candidates will be required to enter their Aadhaar card number, date of birth, name, & gender, which will be confirmed with the UIDAI’s data. In case, there is a mismatch in the details, the applicants will not be able to fill the application form for JEE (Main) 2018.
